'Women Wanting Wool' has been selected as one of the winner initiatives in the W4RES 2021 call for WOMEN-LED PROJECTS / INITIATIVES in RHC solutions. We fulfilled the criteria, focusing on the RHC sector and with a high level of women engagement.
The development of our initiative is intended to lead to a fruitful mobilization of available knowledge generated by cultural and scientific research about the intrinsic characteristics of sheep wool and its related contexts and processes.
Team Description
We live ‘The Team’ as a participated, interconnected and interdependent system. The core-team (Virginia, Isabella and Elena) has organically taken shape through a chain of common collaborations on the wool theme, so, the same constitutive roots has determined both, the identity matrix -the purpose- and the organisational methods:
● team built on trust, respect and reciprocity
● transparent sharing of information
● shared and non-directive leadership
● organic priority allocation and fluid roles
● everyone is involved to ensure that the best response emerges from collective intelligence
● each participant has his or her own specific expertise, but we all continuously contribute to the whole system, because the decision-making process coincides with the consultation process
Empowerment is rooted in the constitutive and qualitative texture of our gathering, each of us, along the path of the core-team, has experienced it in a dynamic of reciprocity and overcoming the individual points of view.
Organic is also the enlargement of the core-team to other figures (individual and collective) with whom various forms of cooperation on the specific theme, have already been activated and with all the possible realities, that will express both their interest and the sharing of our principles
